RAD Program for Senior Girls

R.A.D. Self Defense Program


The PTO and the Kingston Police Department are sponsoring a free self defense program for the senior girls.


Lt. Robert Wells along with Officers from KPD will provide instruction in the self defense program R.A.D., Rape Aggression Defense, which is a “system of defense for women with carefully selected defensive tactics, and helpful guidelines for continued personal growth.”


The goal of the program is to empower women through self defense based on four components:  education, dependency on self, responsible decision making and self realization of physical power.  Instruction is cumulative and the last class is a hands on simulation of the various defensive techniques learned in the previous classes.  Attendance is important to receive the maximum benefit of the program.  


The program will be  offered at the high school on the following dates & times:
Mon. March 27th - 6-9pm
Wed. March 29th - 6-9pm
Mon. April 3rd  - 6-9pm
Wed. April 5th - 6-9pm
Sat. April 8th - 10a - 1pm


Due to limited number of spots, students will be officially registered for the program when the the completed registration and permission forms are returned.  Enrollment will be processed on a first come, first served basis.


Registration forms are available at the Kiosk.  Completed forms can be dropped off in the PTO mailbox in the Main Office by Friday March 17th.
